چکیده
Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) is characterized by having an ultra-compact matrix resulting in ultra-high mechanical properties, low permeability to water and gases, improved ductility provided the addition of fibers. The production structures with this type concrete advantageous some situations, especially aggressive environments since it significantly increases durability. However, high dosages Portland cement silica fume are commonly adopted, increasing not only cost but also environmental impact, jeopardizing its use, mainly present context where sustainability construction sector a global priority. In sense, improving eco-efficiency mandatory. objective work develop eco-ultra-high-durability (eco-UHDC). UHDC was optimized, focusing on durability looking for lowest several parameters were varied: replacement ratio, additions binder relative proportions, water/binder fibers, proportion. developed eco-UHDC both fresh hardened states, terms time-dependent This last topic includes characterization under laboratory conditions real environment, namely, tidal zone coast Cape Verde. results resistance carbonation chloride penetration used predict service life produced these eco-UHDC. optimization allowed development mixtures 60% relation total amount powder matrix, maintaining good workability desired characteristics (compressive strength higher than 100 MPa flexural 12 MPa). showed that considering requirements related durability, cover optimized can be lower values recommended Eurocode 2, differences reach 55%, when pozzolan Verde as partial cement.

This paper addresses the development of an eco-friendly Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) with efficient cement and mineral admixtures uses are investigated. The modified Andreasen & Andersen particle packing model is utilized to achieve a densely compacted cementitious matrix. Fly ash (FA), ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) and limestone powder (LP) are used to replace cement, a...

In this work, the effect of the addition of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on the mechanical properties and durability of ultra high strength concrete (UHSC) is reported. First, the MWCNTs were dispersed by a nano sand-mill in the presence of a surfactant in water. The UHSC specimens were prepared with various amounts of MWCNTs, ranging from 0% to 0.15% by weight of cement (bwoc). Resul...

In this study, an extensive literature review has been conducted on the material characterization of UHPC and its potential for large-scale field applicability. The successful production of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) depends on its material ingredients and mixture proportioning, which leads to denser and relatively more homogenous particle packing. A database was compiled from vario...
